Green Mica Bridge Lampshades are a Craftsman era design. The natural organic appearance displays flecks of green, gold and brown. For extra pop, these bridge lampshades, are bordered with a nut-brown braided trim. The braid displays a faux leather appearance. A semi-transparent outward glow is produced when lit. Yet the downward light for task lighting is bright.
Mica refers to a group of minerals. These silicate minerals are heat-resistant, do not conduct electricity and appear in various colors. The sheet mica is made by laminating mica flakes - crystals together with shellac or resin.
Green mica lamp shades are made on a copper-brown metal frame that is rust resistant. The shape is round. Frame is wrapped with sheet mica. Once made, mica-sheets are rigid.
