Clear blown-glass hurricane sconce offers an enchanting look of the candle-like light inside. Ideal for antique and vintage lighting. Standard base fits holders requiring a 1-5/8" fitter. 8-1/2” height is a typical size seen on many vintage lamps.

These Glass Sconces are expertly reproduced to emulate original designs. Like their vintage counterparts, there may be minor differences in glass thickness and dimensions. These slight variations are inherent to the manufacturing process. As a result, overall dimensions can vary slightly. If purchasing multiples we do our best to match size and glass thickness for a cohesive and polished look. |
They are expertly made of Borosilicate glass. This durable type glass is different than regular glass. It is specifically designed to not crack under extreme temperature-changes. Glass is relatively thin, use care when placing in burner/holder. Do not force glass into holder.
Measuring Glass Sconce
- When selecting replacement hurricanes: first determine base diameter, known as the fitter. Bottom diameter is measured outside edge to outside edge. Most sconces have a 1-5/8" fitter size.
- Height is a matter of personal taste. It should be proportional to lamp, sconce or candlestick.
- If having trouble getting an accurate diameter. Test by cutting a ring to needed diameter. Slip down over burner to check fit.
