Finding an exact match for an old lock is not always possible, as only a limited amount of sizes are now made.
This Half Mortise Lock has a rounded plate. This style was popular on oak furniture in the early 1900's. It was widely used on drawers and doors hinged on left. The polished steel construction and light weight is authentic. This "machine" lock easily installs in a mortise cut by a router or machinery. The lock has an angled selvedge edge seen on many furniture pieces from this time frame. Strike not included as not required.
This is a very reasonably priced lock, as such: locking mechanism is average, not as smooth as finer made brass locks, yet is serviceable. Made in Asia. If using on doors please select according to side door is hinged on.
Keyhole location measurement is critical.Replacement lock-keyhole-location must match location of keyhole in furniture.
