Half Mortise Locks: Doors & Drawers

Half Mortise Locks are a very popular style. Many periods, of antique furniture, have these. They provide a clean look. Once in place, lock plate is all you see on interior of furniture. Only keyhole is is seen on exterior.

Use this style on cabinet doors and/or drawers. Most half mortise locks are on drawers. However, some are on cabinet doors. If using on doors, select a right or left hand. Use hinge-side of door to decide if left or right.  See replacing half mortise locks for more help.
