  • Cabinet Drawer Locks are authentic reproductions of antique furniture locks. This style is known as half mortise. They are for many types of furniture including drawers, desk and doors hinged right. Cannot be use on doors hinged left due to placement of keyhole.

These locks are made in England. They are a nice quality  with a heavy extruded brass plate and steel box. Locking mechanism is a secure lever.

Strikes are unnecessary for cabinet drawer locks and not included. Orders with multiples of the same lock are shipped keyed alike. Choose size according to backset measurement.

Keyhole location measurement is critical.Replacement lock-keyhole-location must match location of keyhole in furniture.

To measure: easiest to measure old lock, if you have it:

  • Lock Keyhole Location: distance between selvedge-edge - where bolt shoots through, to lock pin. This measurement is known as the backset.
  • Furniture Keyhole Cutout Location: distance between furniture-edge to estimated location of lock pin in furniture keyhole.

Lock for 1827 English Drop Front Desk

Your Polly helped me select the proper fitting lock for my beautiful 1827 English fall front desk. A little carpentry on my part and the lock fits and operates perfectly, thanks to Polly.

    Great Product

The locks fitted well and the staff were very helpful

    Best selection, high quality product

A client brought me their family;s 250-year-old Scottish tall clock in need of extensive reconstruction & restoration. The half-mortise lock for the case door was long gone, but a beautiful brass escutcheon remained. The backset was quite large, approximately 1-1/8. Only Paxton offered locks in a range of backsets that included the one that I need. Many thanks!
