Antique Brass Bail Pulls

Vintage Furniture Handles have decorative bail handles which are used on standard drawers or serpentine-curved drawer fronts. As there is no back-plate,  handle can swing freely over curved areas without binding. These authentic furniture handles with simple round stamped rosettes were often seen on chests from the Golden Oak era.

How to measure an bail pull handle

When replacing existing handles always check boring-measurement

Antique brass drawer pulls are solid brass. The antique finish is hand applied and may vary from one to the next. The slight variations in color provide a natural and more authentic appearance. Handle includes bail, 2 circular rosettes and 2 eyebolts with nuts. Bail hangs from two eye bolts.

Measure Victorian Dresser Pulls

  • Boring is the space between center of mounting hole to center of adjacent mounting hole. If changing handles, on existing drawers, this measurement is  crucial.
  • There is considerable more flexibility if installing handles on new furniture or cabinets. Mounting holes can be drilled where needed for new installations.
  • Overall Size reflects: width and height of handle at widest point. Ideally a balanced relationship between drawer handle and drawer is best.
Install Victorian Drawer Pulls
  • Handle attaches to drawer with two eye bolts.
  • To Install: start from drawer front.
  • Insert eyebolts through holes in rosettes, front to back. Eyebolt shank length is 1", if too short counter sink eyebolt-nut in wood.
  • Continue inserting post through holes in drawer, allowing posts to be loosely positioned.
  • Position handle and insert handle-ends into 2 eyebolts.
  • Push eyebolts with handle into place.
  • From drawer interior, screw nuts on bolts and tighten.

Wrong size

I thought I had ordered 2.5" drawer pulls but received 3.0" pulls. When I asked about it, I was told that I ordered 3.0.
That's what I get for trying to order on my phone.
Ended up ordering elsewhere because the pulls didn't come in the size I needed. The pulls were nice but didn't fit my project. Hopefully I can use them on n something else.

Detailed size information is provided on each product page. The pull ordered is only available in a 3' size. Please return it as we don't want you to have something that won't suit your project.

Perfect Match

I have tried forever to find a match for my antique serpentine front dresser that was period accurate. What a great find. The dresser has been restored to its former glory.

Personal service

Received brass plated eyebolts with my order instead of solid brass through no fault of your company. With one call the error was remedied! I was very pleasantly surprised. Hard to find that kind of service these days. Thanks.
