Description

Binding cane, crafted from natural plant fibers, is essential for various furniture repair and restoration projects. It provides the final finish when weaving cane chair seats, neatly covering and securing the holes along the seat’s edge. Additionally, it reinforces joints, arms, and legs on certain furniture styles, improving their durability. This versatile material can be woven into herringbone, diamond, and other geometric patterns, and is also suitable for basket weaving. Offered in three different widths to suit your specific needs.
Material & Finish

Binding cane is made from the wider outer peel of the rattan palm. These glossy strands are a pleasing, durable weaving material. They age beautifully from a light blonde to a rich caramel shade over time. It can be stained however the glossy finish prohibits stain from easily penetrating the material, a couple coats may be necessary with proper dry time in between.
