Japanned Iron Door Locks were commonly used on 19th century furniture. These hard working locks are made strictly for doors. Easy to install, surface locks mount directly to interior door frame, with no mortising required.
These Japanned Door Locks are made of steel. Each has a historic black japanned-iron finish. This finish was developed in late 17th century Europe to imitate Asian lacquer work. The mechanism has a tumbler action. Strike is not included, as is not required. Made In England.
