Surface Lock for Cabinet Doors

• Backset: 5/8" (16 mm) this measurement is critical if replacing a lock as keyhole in lock and furniture must line up together.
• Lock Plate: 1-1/4" wide x 2-1/4" high (33 mm x 56 mm)

This Lock is made of steel with a historic black japanned-iron finish. This finish was developed in late 17th century Europe to imitate Asian lacquer work. The mechanism has a tumbler action. Strike is not included, as is not required. Made In England.

• This black cabinet door lock is quick and easy to install as no mortising is need
• Mount lock directly to cabinet door interior
• Surface locks are unique in that they are reversable, meaning that they can be used on either a right or left hand door.
• If replacing an old lock: measure distance between selvedge-edge (edge where bolt shoots through lock) to lock pin in center of keyhole. This measurement is known as the backset.
