Install

To install a replacement wick in a oil lamp:

  • Remove glass chimney
  • Unscrew burner and remove burner from lamp
  • Turn adjuster knob on burner to unwind old wick
  • Once old wick is removed, feed replacement wick up through slot in bottom of burner, using adjuster knob to wind wick upwards.
  • Wick should not protrude more than 1/8"
  • If top is uneven trim straight.
  • Let base of wick soak in oil for 15–20 minutes to absorb oil up wick before lighting.

Oil Lamp Wicks 1/2" are clean burning, long lasting, double sewn cotton and made in USA. Offered in many sizes to fit a variety of old and new lamps. This size fits some fits some #00 burners. Determine size by measuring width of channel in lamp burner.
