This burner is brass-plated with a shiny finish. It has coarser threads than solid brass burners. We recommend using this burner with a brass-plated collar, as the threads are likely to be compatible. Occasionally threads on some old lamps may be a little worn making compatibility between burner and collar challenging.
Before making any changes to electrical fixtures and/or lamps:
- Disconnect plug/wire from the electrical source.
- Turning lamp off will not protect you from electric shock.
