    Brass Table Keepers

    Sturdy Brass Table Leaf Forks are a great stabilizer that holds two table-top-sections firmly together. Also the sturdy joint provides a leveling action for the two adjoining sections. Use one assembly on each side of table. Mount on under side of top. This unique assembly is also referred to as: table yokes, table keepers and table clamps. Call them what you want. They are any easy to use option for joining table tops.

    Measure Table Leaf Fork

    Replacing old table forks: Please measure carefully, as not all previously made table keepers are this exact size.

    Each table fork assembly is made from strong brass extrusions. This brass assembly is unfinished. Sleeves are spring loaded for a tight, secure fit. Care should be used when measuring as not all previously made table clamps were the exact same size. Make table mobile and functional by adding furniture casters.

    Install Brass Table Keepers

    • Use two table fork assemblies when joining two table sections together.
    • The two forks will be used opposite each other on under side of table top.
    • Mark install location of sleeves with yokes on underside to table sections. Once installed, table yokes should equally straddle joint between the two table sections, when they are together. 
    • Finger-pull portion of fork should be slightly inset from outer edge of table top.
    • Pre-drill pilot holes. Also it is best to screw a steel-screw into each hole, before actually inserting brass screws.
    • Once sleeves are installed: slide Fork into sleeves. It will help level table surface and hold sections tightly together.

    Table Leaf Forks

    We have a table from the turn of the century that has one leaf. After a few moves we were down to two table leaf forks from the necessary four to properly hold the table leaf in place. I found Paxton Hardware in my online search and I could not be more delighted with their product. I found exactly the right brass leaf fork for this table, which was a very happy surprise! The are well-made of heavy, quality brass. I highly recommend this company for any products you may need for antique or vintage pieces. You won't go wrong!

    What a life saver -- the forks and Paxton!

    So thrilled to find these table leaf forks. In acquiring a 19th Century DR table from a friend's estate, two of the original four forks were lost. It was such a relief to find that Paxton carried these unusual items and they arrived so quickly. I had not been able to locate replacement forks anywhere and feared I would have the expense of custom machining them. The forks came with two sleeves each and screws -- all heavy, precisely machined brass, and top quality. I am rating five stars for the quality of this product and five stars for Paxton. The second delight in finding these replacement parts, was finding Paxton Hardware!

    Solid Performance

    Purchased four additional table leaf forks for my antique rosewood table. It already has four at the outer edges of the table to attach the center leaf. The new forks will provide additional support on the underneath center ribs to pull the leaves tighter. I am very happy with the quality and strength of the brass forks. Easy to install.
