Furniture Door Lock, 3/4 inch backset

This Cabinet Door Surface Lock features an easy to install design that requires no mortising. The lock screws to door frame interior. It is double handed making it suitable for use on both left and right hand doors.

• If replacing an old lock, BACKSET SIZE is critical, as keyhole in lock and furniture must line up together.
• Backset: 3/4" (19 mm)
• Lock Plate: 1-1/2" wide x 3" high (38 mm x 76 mm)
• Bolt Projection: 7/16"

• Key Barrel: 3/16" x 1-11/16"
• Key Length: 2-1/4"
• Key-bit Height: 3/8"

These Cabinet Door Surface Lock has a brass face plate and brass-plated steel lock box. The mechanism has a tumbler action. A strike is unnecessary, therefore not included. Economically priced, ideal for vintage restorations. Made In England.

• Mount lock directly to cabinet door interior
• Surface locks are unique in that they are reversable, meaning that they can be used on either a right or left hand door.
• If replacing an old lock: measure distance between selvedge-edge (edge where bolt shoots through lock) to lock pin in center of keyhole. This measurement is known as the backset.
