• Backset-Distance To Pin: 7/16" (10 mm) this measurement is critical if replacing a lock as keyhole in lock and furniture must line up together.
• Lock Plate: 13/16" wide x 1-1/2" high (21 mm x 38 mm)

These Cabinet Door Surface Lock has a brass face plate and brass-plated steel lock box. The mechanism has a tumbler action. A strike is unnecessary, therefore not included. Economically priced, ideal for vintage restorations. Made In England.

• Cabinet Door Surface Lock is quick and easy to install as no mortising is need
• Mount lock directly to cabinet door interior
• Surface locks are unique in that they are reversable, meaning that they can be used on either a right or left hand door.
• If replacing an old lock: measure distance between selvedge-edge (edge where bolt shoots through lock) to lock pin in center of keyhole. This measurement is known as the backset.
