Furniture Door Lock, 7/16 inch backset

These Cabinet Door Surface Lock features a surface mount design that requires no mortising for easy installation. The lock screws to door frame interior. It is double handed making it suitable for use on both left and right hand doors.

• If replacing an old lock, BACKSET SIZE is critical, as keyhole in lock and furniture must line up together.
• Backset-Distance To Pin: 7/16" (10 mm)
• Lock Plate: 13/16" wide x 1-1/2" high (21 mm x 38 mm)
• Bolt Projection: 3/16"

These Cabinet Door Surface Lock has a brass face plate and brass-plated steel lock box. The mechanism has a tumbler action. A strike is unnecessary, therefore not included. Economically priced, ideal for vintage restorations. Made In England.

• If replacing an old lock: measure distance between selvedge-edge (edge where bolt shoots through lock) to lock pin in center of keyhole. This measurement is known as the backset.
