Brass Box Lock is a traditional choice for securing antique and vintage chests and boxes. The locking mechanism features a single lever design for ease of use. Once installed, lock is hidden from exterior view.
Half mortise lock is for lift lids. Use on chests, trunks and boxes. Lock installs into a partial cut out in box interior. Strike attaches underneath surface of lid. When lid is closed, strike drops down into lock. Key turns one lever mechanism to secure lid.
Brass Box LockIf replacing an old lock, BACKSET SIZE is critical, as keyhole in lock and furniture must line up together.
