Harp Lamp Shades

Lampshades with Harp Fitter are the most used type, for table lamps. This style has a small ring washer in center top of shade. This ring slips over harp-post to rest atop lamp harp (the shade holder). The shade is secured in place with a lamp finial. The styles, sizes and color ranges of these replacement lamp shades are endless. Materials include parchment, silk, linen and mica. Round and hex shapes predominate however ovals and squares are also used. When selecting size, the goal is to achieve a sense of balance between lamp shade and base. If the replacement lamp shade appears proportionally correct yet it is sitting to high or to low on the lamp, simply change to a taller or shorter harp. Use with lamp-harp and finial.
