Carved Wood Furniture Pulls were used on Victorian era marble top washstands, bureaus and dressers. These handles have a wonderful organic feel reflecting the natural grain and characteristics of the wood. Carved fruit and nut design is appealing on both old and new furniture.*
Moderately sized to fit small and midsize drawers. Wood furniture pulls are sculpted from two pieces of wood, which are glued together. Thicker center area is notched out in back, allowing for finger pull. Carved from walnut, handles are unfinished. Some sanding is necessary, amount of sanding will depend on desired outcome. Finish to match drawers. Attach with wood glue.
I purchased walnut leaf corners to replace the broken leaves on a Victorian frame. After coating them with beeswax they were a perfect match. Also, I received my order in just a few days. I am very glad I was directed to your website. Thank you for helping me with this project.
Too small finger opening
I ordered the large size pulls because I am using them on a large drawer. Only one finger fits in the pull, which makes it more difficult to pull out a large drawer. This pull has a 1-1/8 diameter width for the finger pull. I was able to modify the finger pull width to 1-5/8 with a core box router bit such that 2 fingers would fit in the pull without compromising the strength of the carved pull. I still gave it a 4-star rating because it's hard to find carved walnut pulls.
